3 beauty tips to get your skin ready for spring

Warmer days are on the horizon! And you know what that means: it’s time to change up your skincare routine to give your skin a fresh start for spring.

The days of big wooly sweaters are (thankfully) coming to a close! However, before you start breaking out the tank-tops and sundresses, you need to prep your skin for the warm weather ahead. Here are 3 things that you can do to make your skin look revived, regenerated, radiant and flawless.

Exfoliate at least once a week

Between the dry air inside our homes and the frigid air outside, we tend to build up more dead skin cells in winter. While your skin sheds dead skin cells naturally (30,000 per minute, to be exact), it can’t get rid of all of them by itself.

Exfoliating helps remove any remaining dead skin cells, stimulates cell renewal, makes your skin feel softer, and gives you a brighter complexion.

If you’ve been slacking on your daily exfoliation duties recently (like using your Clarisonic face brush and dry brushing your body), it’s time to get back into the habit! Also: make it a point to exfoliate your face at least once a week with a gentle facial exfoliator and a nourishing body exfoliator like Oil Therapy Huile de Gommage.

Invest in lightweight moisturizer

Our skin tends to produce more oil in warmer weather, so it’s time to stop using the heavy face cream, and invest in a lightweight one. We recommend looking for moisturizer that contains SPF protection and protects your skin from pollution (you’ll be outside a lot more now!), like Aquasource SPF15.

Apply tinted face oil

During the spring and summer you naturally spend more time lounging in the sun (psst: don’t forget sunscreen!), which gives your skin a beautiful skin-kissed glow. Give your complexion a head start now by applying tinted facial oil like Liquid Glow Skin Best – your skin will instantly look more radiant and gorgeous.

Don’t forget that aside from a great skincare routine, it’s important to #eatclean and exercise on a regular basis. These are all essential for healthy, beautiful, and strong skin!
