Guys, follow these tips to arrive at the office sweat-free after a workout

So that you can look – and feel – fresh and clean.

Did you know that exercising in the morning could help you spend 75% more time in the deep sleep stage? Being an early riser has so many health benefits, however there’s one downside to those workouts that you do at the crack of dawn: sweat! While it’s great for your skin (yes, you read that right), let’s be real here, it’s not the best office look. Men tend to sweat more than women, according to a study, but luckily there are a few things you can do to arrive at work sweat-free (or at least until you get stuck in a packed metro car…).

There are two types of sweat glands in your body, eccrine, which produces water sweat, and apocrine, which produces odor. You tend to sweat more right after exercising, because heat accumulates in your muscles and raises your body temperature further. To combat perspiration and shine, do these three things after your next morning workout:

Look for a fan: When you work out, your constant movement allows sweat to evaporate off of your skin. However, once your HIIT session is over, sweat sits on the surface and doesn’t go anywhere. Look for a fan that you can stand next to for a couple minutes, or use the blow dryer in the locker room (set to the cool setting) to help some of the sweat dry. But please, whatever you do, don’t try to use your hands to fan yourself – you’ll only make yourself feel warmer, and it won’t help you win points with your crush at the gym.

Take a lukewarm shower: You might think that an ice cold shower will stop you from sweating, but it will only give you temporary relief. The best temperature is lukewarm (not too hot, not too cold), but you can always use a refreshing shower gel like Aquapower to give you that cool feeling you crave.

Wait to apply your moisturizer: Skincare products work best when your skin is dry. Apply mattifying gel to your face like Biotherm’s T-Pur Anti-Oil and Shine Moisturizer to control shine, and don’t forget to swipe on a strong deodorant before leaving the gym.

Test these tips out after your next workout to stop sweating – fast. However, don’t forget to drink plenty of water as well!
