Lighten up: This is why you should wear a body mist this summer
Follow our tips and you’ll smell divine all summer long.
Summer calls for new skincare products, and your fragrance is no exception. While oriental scents are sensual and inviting in winter, the summer heat can make them overpowering. Since no one wants to be that person in the office whose perfume is too strong, read on for how to wear scent the right way during the warmer months.
Body mist vs. perfume
Body mist is less concentrated than perfume, meaning that it’s lighter and doesn’t smell as strong – perfect for the summertime. Choose a body mist that has a refreshing and bright scent with notes that remind you of summer (citrus, berries, figs…). Also be sure to look for one that’s non-photosensitive (like Biotherm’s body mists) since you’ll be spending a lot of time out in the sun.
How to wear body mist
Layer with body lotion: Heat causes scent to evaporate, so putting on an unscented body lotion (or one from the same line as your fragrance) before spraying on your body mist will help it stay on longer. An example is to first apply Biotherm’s body milk Eau Soleil and then following up with the body mist Eau Soleil Mist, that has notes of sparkling orange, tangerine, bergamot and cedar wood.
Apply sparingly, but often: Even though body mist is lighter in scent than perfume, too much of a good thing isn’t always the best idea.
Spray it in the right places: Put your body mist on your pulse points (they generate more heat), and in your hair – each time you flick it the scent will get diffused.
If you want people to think your fragrance is absolutely irresistible, a body mist might be the best choice.
