Meditate your way to radiant
Making meditation part of your daily routine can help you have glowing gorgeous skin. We're here to help you learn how to get started.
Close your eyes, breathe, and recharge. Five minutes of meditation per day is enough to make you and your skin more relaxed and beautiful.
Are you wearing your emotions on your skin?
Just as "you wear your heart on your sleeve", you can also wear your emotions on your skin. When you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or going through a difficult time, these sensations are often translated externally onto your skin, which causes harm to it in both the short and long term.
According to research, meditation is capable of altering grey matter in the brain, which can help you be able to better regulate emotions as well as gain clarity and perspective in different situations. Meditating helps soothe you and brings a host of good things to the skin. Only a few minutes per day can breathe fresh new air into cells, which helps eliminate toxins, calm acne, and even reduce the appearance of lines and under eye bags. Not only will this practice leave you feeling more refreshed, you’ll find your complexion is also brighter, as if you’ve had a great night’s sleep.
3 feel-good meditation techniques:
Focus on your breathing: In a seated position, start concentrating on your breathing. Take deep breaths and focus your attention intently on how the body feels with each inhale and exhale you take. The first few times you do the exercise, only perform it for 1-2 minutes and then as time goes on gradually extend the length of time until the process becomes natural and your body feels totally relaxed and refreshed.
Focus on an object: A great way to quickly get your focus off of the stresses of everyday life is to concentrate all of your attention on a single object. For example, while sitting at your desk, focus on something like a pen or a mug. Look at the object and continue gazing at it until you find yourself staring off into space, not thinking of anything at all.
Focus on each part of your body: While lying down, close your eyes and start concentrating your attention on different parts of your body. Make sure your breath is deep and regular, and then start paying attention to how your head feels, your ears, your eyes, your neck, your shoulders, and then continue doing this exercise with each part of your body until you reach your feet. The main goal of this exercise is to be able to listen to your body and understand how it truly feels.
Meditation is a great way to recharge your beauty batteries and feel empowered. These positive feelings will shine through and you will be able to conquer anything your day throws your way.
